After the successful debut in 2025 with Romantic Brutalism , an exhibition dedicated to Polish fine craftsmanship and design, Visteria Foundation returns to Milan Design Week with a new show entitled Polish Modernism. A Struggle for Beauty . This new project offers an articulated reading of the many expressions of the Modernist movement. By placing historical works in dialogue with contemporary objects, it highlights how modernist thinking continues to exert a significant influence on Polish design culture today. Staged on the 16th floor of Torre Velasca, an emblem of post-war modernity in Milan, the exhibition examines how Poland’s complex and turbulent history gave rise to a sui generis modernism, in which the decorative arts retained a central role rather than adhering rigidly to the traditional opposition between form and function. A project by Visteria Foundation Curated by Federica Sala and Anna Maga
