For Fuorisalone 2026, ITIstudio presents poroCity , an urban installation that explores a new balance between architecture, nature and public space. The project is born from the desire to rethink the role of streets, imagining a porous, welcoming and liveable city — one where urban spaces become once again places of encounter, pause and wellbeing. Through a light and permeable architecture, poroCity takes shape as an organism capable of embracing and integrating natural elements and human presence. Not a mere object, but a space to be crossed and inhabited, that transforms over time offering shade , comfort and opportunities for connection. The structure enters into dialogue with its surroundings, making room for nature and enhancing the sensory experience of those who move through it. The project takes form through the use of contemporary technologies — from computational geometry to 3D printing and artificial intelligence — employed as tools in service of an essential yet radical vision: restoring quality and centrality to outdoor life. An approach that combines design research with attention to human wellbeing, placing the relationship between built space and environment at its core. The installation thus becomes an immersive experience that invites the public not only to observe, but to enter the design process itself — reflecting on new ways of inhabiting the city. Because it is precisely in the way spaces take shape that the possibility opens up of imagining more sustainable and shared urban futures. Photo II° courtesy of Eolo Perfido
