A camera lens becomes a space to inhabit and a new way of seeing the city. CAMERA – Inside the Lens, an installation by Progetto CMR, invites visitors to step inside the act of looking: an immersive micro-architecture that, like an urban telescope, frames the Duomo and reveals Milan in all its intensity—without filters or screens. Inside, the space is intimate and quiet, designed to slow down the pace and rediscover the value of direct, conscious perception. An invitation to truly observe, leaving behind distractions and digital mediation, and reconnect with the city and its surroundings. But CAMERA is also a living, participatory space. During Design Week, the structure comes alive with stories, podcasts, interviews, and creative editorial activities, involving young people, students, and third-sector organizations in a shared cultural production experience. Visitors are not just spectators—they become active participants in a collective narrative, contributing their own perspective to shape a contemporary story of Milan. Flexible and temporary, CAMERA represents a new way of thinking about architecture: not just as form, but as a device capable of activating relationships, generating content, and creating connections between people, places, and communities. An immersive experience that brings together design, observation, and participation, offering a fresh perspective on the city.
