INSIEME is a curatorial project conceived by Sabato De Sarno and presented by Vanity Fair at Milan Design Week. A group exhibition that brings back into focus what often remains unseen: human labor, technical knowledge, time, and experience. Twelve Italian companies express their production DNA not through commercial icons, but through works that make visible what precedes the finished object: hands, decisions, mistakes, and the responsibility of each gesture. In an era shaped by speed and automation, INSIEME reaffirms the central role of human judgment in the creative process, not as nostalgia but as an awareness of contemporary making. The exhibition unfolds through six material families—glass, ceramics, metal, stone, wood, and textiles—forming a map of craftsmanship. For each material, two entities intertwine tradition and research in a collective narrative. Not a celebration of the product, but a reflection on the value of process. The manifesto work is entrusted to JR: an intervention focused on the faces of artisans, restoring centrality to people and asserting human labor as the origin of the work.
